What were you trying to do?

Making a server wide announcement. I think this a frontend bug as refreshing can make the announcement reappear sometimes.

What did you expect to happen?

Announcement shows up for other users and doesn't disappear.

What actually happened?

Announcements sometimes disappear.

Severity

I cannot use it as easily as I'd like

I have double-checked and have not found this issue mentioned anywhere.

Turns out setting the start and end date makes the announcement not show up until that time. I usually used it to set a timestamp for when events like maintenance is expected to happen.

This should be made clearer in the UI or changed so that it doesn't hide the announcement.
