The idea

Users should be able to save posts (both original posts and replies) as drafts to later be able to come back to and edit or post whenever they desire, like Tumblr's drafts feature.

The reasoning

This is a feature I've personally been wanting for when writing posts—usually for more long-form original posts—where it'd be convenient to be able to roughly jot down my thoughts and edit them gradually over time, or for replies of any length since I tend to write out replies on mobile while lying in bed, only to instead switch to desktop and rewrite and send the post there since I find it easier to properly sit and review posts before sending them from an actual computer.

I think I've heard others mentioning desiring a feature like this in passing, but they likely were Mastodon users as opposed to Akkoma or Pleroma users. Still, I guess it's maybe worth a mention that there appears to maybe be some desire for this feature on the fediverse in general?
