The idea

It would be nice to be able to log in with username or email when using LDAP

The reasoning

At the moment, the authentication page says you cna log in with "Username or email" But if the instance use LDAP, you can actually log in with only one of the two solutions, depending what you set uid to.

Have you searched for this feature request?

I have double-checked and have not found this feature request mentioned anywhere.
This feature is related to the Akkoma backend specifically, and not pleroma-fe.
