The idea

Idea: Let users point DNS records to an existing instance, configure specific user to be served as-if from that domain. Similar to pointing MX records to get ownership of email hosting without having to run an SMTP server.

The reasoning

This would allow people, especially organizations to contribute to decentralization of the fediverse without administering an instance.

I have double-checked and have not found this feature request mentioned anywhere.
This feature is related to the Akkoma backend specifically, and not pleroma-fe.
